Fashion becomes all the more fun when it involves a good cause. Jewelry designer Candy Dizon (of Jul B. Dizon Jewellery) spearheaded the recently held Green Couture fashion show at the Manila Peninsula in collaboration with Manila Waldorf School to raise funds for the latter's faculty training and development program, and, naturally, to support environmental awareness and responsibility.

Eleven of Manila's top fashion designers—Ivar Aseron, Patrice Ramos-Diaz, Rajo Laurel, Jojie Lloren, Dennis Lustico, Tippi Ocampo, Puey Quiñones, James Reyes, Michi Calica-Sotto, Karen Mijares, and Kate Torralba—created dresses and gowns out of recyclable materials such as bubble wrap, plastic bags, straws, tin bottle caps, and rice and flour sacks. The results were show-stopping, to say the least. Some of the designer sent us their sketches before the show, and it was truly a captivating experience to see their ideas come to life!
