Goddess Of Moon Solenn Heusaff's shoe line at L Manila

Filipina-French designer, model, and makeup artist Solenn Heusaff has been designing for L Manila under it's in-house label L Ltd. for two years now. She now adds her eponymous shoe line to its roster of home-grown Pinoy talents who include Lulu Tan-Gan, Puey Quiñones, Danilo Franco, Barge Ramos, OJ Hofer and Louis Claparols

Her Inspiration
“Greek goddess. Since it's my first shoe line, I wanted to associate my name with it,” explains the young designer. “It also fits L Manila's store concept of contemporary Resort Wear. I wanted all my shoes to be gladiator style, something a goddess would wear, but with a modern twist.”

“I used a lot of earthy tones to fit the theme. My name came from 'Selena' meaning 'Goddess of Moon,'” Solenn adds. “The Goddess of Moon looks over the sea and the earth that's why I used blue, white, brown, and black. I think the earthy tones suit the colorful and texture-filled fashionable clothes in our boutique.”

Why footwear?
“Growing up with Sex and the City and Carrie Bradshaw's shoe collection, who wouldn't get addicted to shoes?” she quips.

Solenn Heussaff's line of gladiator sandals is available at L Manila in Greenbelt 5. See the Store Directory for details.
