Whatever time of the year, for Havaianas, it’s always summer—a time to indulge in life’s pleasures, a time when happy memories are made; it's a favorite season. This year, Havaianas has decided to extend the spirit of summer throughout the year by fostering the warmth and sunshine-y atmosphere the season brings. (Read: No such thing as the time-bound “summer months.”)
With its vision of living like it’s always summer, Havaianas launches one hot campaign to kick off of its year-round celebration—the “Always Summer: Race to Hawaii” contest.
“Havaianas is committed to bringing summer to every Filipino,” says Anne Gonzalez, Managaing Direction of Havaianas Philippines. “This is our way to achieve our vision of sharing summer with all the flip-flops lovers who never forget to wear their favorite Havaianas as they play, travel, and indulge in fun-filled activities.”
“Always Summer: Race to Hawaii” is an adventure race among two-member teams who will be given summer tasks and compete for the ultimate prize of an all-expense-paid trip for two to Hawaii. To Hawaii, why not? After all, Havaianas is Potuguese for “Hawaiians.”
Filipino residents, 18 years old and above, fit to travel and engage in physical activities can join the contest by purchasing two pairs of Havaianas from February 4 2011 to March 27, 2011. This single-receipt purchase merits one scratch card that contains a unique code the participants can use to register in the website (www.havaianassummer.com).
All registered participants get a chance to win fun and fabulous prizes from partner brands like Sony, David & Goliath and Havaianas in the weekly draws, as well as the exclusive slots in the “Always Summer: Race to Hawaii” contest.
Regional legs will take place simultaneously all over the country and the top 20 teams will be flown to Boracay for the finals leg. All 20 teams will again compete in a series of summer tasks and the best time wins that trip to the beautiful islands of Hawaii. Aloha!
Well ladies, it does sound like a once-in-a-lifetime summer vacation. Imagine the fresh air, the waves, luaus, Mai Tais, and hot surfers, mind you. Let the race begin!
