Glaiza De Castro was among the Filipino film personalities who headed to the Netherlands for this year’s Rotterdam Film Festival. The actress stars in the animated biographical feature “58th,” which screened at the internationally acclaimed event.

With a full lineup of screenings and red carpet appearances, she packed a wardrobe filled with pieces by Filipino designers Job Dacon and Daryl Maat. From contemporary formalwear to classic suiting, her lookbook put local craftsmanship front and center on a global stage.

Ahead, a closer look at all the outfits she wore.

Sharp suiting

Glaiza made a strong case for all-black in a noir ensemble by Job Dacon: a structured blazer layered over a similarly-hued turtleneck. Lace-up detailing runs along both side panels, forming a “corset” element that cinches the waist and creates a sculpted, architectural frame.

Adding texture to the monochrome look, she accessorized with a decorative clutch by Cebuano designer Neil Felipp.

In another appearance, she channelled the corp-core look in a gray suit set by Daryl Maat.

The single-breasted blazer features notched lapels and defined shoulders, giving the silhouette a clean, streamlined shape. A crisp white polo kept things classic, while minimal accessories maintained the pared-back approach. Straight-cut trousers softened the overall structure, lending the outfit a relaxed touch.

Modern Filipinianas

A longtime Daryl Maat muse, Glaiza also brought two of the designer’s contemporary Filipiniana pieces, as seen from his Bench Fashion Week 2025 Holiday runway show.

For one screening, she wore a red checkered Inabel set—a playful take on the traditional baro’t saya. Daryl adds a nostalgic detail by pinning two Lobo brooches to the baro (blouse). The coordinating saya (skirt), called the “Inocencia Deflated Balloon,” features an irregular, voluminous shape and gathered drawstring details at the hem, giving it that “deflated balloon” silhouette.

Of course, she also donned a look featuring Daryl’s signature “Pad Paper” motif. She paired the modern camisa with a pair of blue Inabel trousers and classic white pumps.

A barong gilet

Pulled straight from Daryl’s archives, Glaiza wore the LIWAYWAY Barong Gilet from his 2024 collection. Styled over a black long-sleeve base and paired with Gucci loafers, the piece took on a subtle streetwear vibe.

A femme fatale moment

Last and certainly not the least, Glaiza shifted the mood in a fiery number by Job Dacon.

The vibrant red bodice was paired with voluminous, floor-length black barrel-style trousers, crafted from a dense matte fabric. A shrug draped over her shoulders, complete with elongated sleeves, sealed the outfit’s gothic-inspired feel.
