The secret is finally out—fast-fashion giant, H&M is collaborating with Paris-based designer, Giambattista Valli who is known for his glamorous, fiercely feminine haute couture. Born and raised in Rome, Giambattista moved to Paris—to pursue his dream of "building up a proper haute couture maison"—where he eventually launched his namesake line in 2005. He believes, "Couture is the art of making beautiful fabrics and experimenting. It's the freedom of bringing a dream into reality."
Thanks to H&M, we will all get the chance to wear some of Giambattista's dreamy, luxurious creations when the collection drops this November, which will include both womenswear and his first ever menswear. And to give us a taste of what this highly-anticipated collaboration would look and feel, the Swedish retail brand is also releasing nine limited-edition looks and some accessories ahead of the launch of the main collection. The pre-drop collection will be available in select stores and online on May 25, 2019, while the main collection will be released on November 7, 2019.
