PSA: The Gap X Sandy Liang Collab Is Finally Here in Manila

Gap’s heritage classics meet Sandy Liang’s signature girly-meets-gritty energy. Picture bow-trimmed denim, outerwear with instant main-character potential, and everyday pieces with that unmistakable Sandy touch.

It’s playful, nostalgic, and—let’s be honest—likely to sell out fast.

Since launching her brand in 2014, Sandy has built her namesake label around femininity and an unabashed sense of youthfulness.

In a press statement, Gap’s President and CEO Mark Breitbard muses about how the partnership simply made sense from the start.

“Each collaboration has its own handwriting—its own story,” he remarked. “Sandy Liang has cultivated both an engaged community and an iconic design perspective, which has allowed her to reimagine our heritage pieces into something entirely new, yet familiar.”

To introduce the collection, Gap unveiled "Sandy’s Dream Closet", an animated short by visual artist Annie Choi. The film revisits to the Chinese-American designer’s childhood in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, right above her father’s Cantonese restaurant, Congee Village. It imagines young Sandy mapping out her future through fashion.

“Growing up, Gap was the pinnacle of fashion. It’s incredible that I get to co-create with such an iconic brand that I treasured so much as a child, yet is still so relevant today,” Sandy said.
