Freeway's Art Bag Design Contest Get a chance to have your work translated into stylish pieces alongside our National Artists.

Freeway starts the year with a bang with the launch of its first ever Art Bag Design Contest. For almost five years, the label has been promoting fashionalism by coupling the latest in style with works of our very own National Artists, namely, Vicente Manansala, Botong Francisco, Nick Joaquin, Ang Kiukok, Jose Garcia Villa, Ramon Valera, F. Sionil José, and Levi Celerio. Now on their ninth installment, they spice things up a bit by giving the artists of this generation a chance to be featured alongside these national icons.

To take part in this once-in-a-lifetime experience, simply submit an originally-designed artwork that includes the elements of nationalism, Filipino pride, or our country’s art and culture. The medium doesn't matter: just snap a photo and submit your entries online on or before February 15, 2013. Approved entries will be uploaded on their Facebook page for voting, the results comprising 20% of the criteria.

At the end of the competition, two winning pieces will be put into production for the National Artist Collector’s Series Fall 2013 along with the ninth National Artist, which has yet to be revealed. And as if that’s not enough, winners also receive P10,000 worth of gift certificates and a 16gb iPad Mini.

An opportunity to immortalize your work with other amazing prizes to be won? Another reason to get those creative juices flowing!
