In 1994, Frederick Peralta made waves when he was invited to showcase his collection that included a masterpiece called Pearl of the Orient at the Festival International des Jeunes Créateurs de Mode in Paris. He was joined by other designers like Paco Rabanne, John Louise Scherer, Ted Lapidus, and Ross Met at the event.
A replica of this very piece, along with a number of his couture and runway pieces, will soon be up for auction. Frederick's industry friends have organized a trunk show as their way of extending help to the master couturier who has recently fallen sick and is recovering from medical concerns.
