Reports of Forever 21 officially filing for bankruptcy and closing up to 178 stores have raised concerns over the fashion retailer's operations in the Philippines. Luckily, the brand's local arm has finally addressed the issue in an official statement on their Facebook page.
Quoting SM Retail Inc. President Chito Manalo Jr., they assure patrons that the brand's local stores are not going anywhere. "There is no effect on our Philippine operations. We continue full operations of all 15 stores of Forever 21 in the country," the statement reads. "The Philippines continues to be one of the stronger global operations."
They also promised that the stores will still be up and running in the upcoming months. "We will continue to offer up-to-date merchandise and are gearing up our marketing investments for the Christmas season," the retail president continued.
In short, it's business as usual for Forever 21 locally!
