The new coveted crown for Miss Universe 2019 has finally been unveiled! Officially hailed as The Power of Unity Crown, it features three golden canary diamonds with the center diamond weighing in at 62.38 carats.

Designed by Swiss jewelry house Mouawad, this marks the 10th Miss Universe crown in its 68-year history. According to the company, the new crown is meant to evoke the themes of ambition, community, diversity, and beauty. “The crown’s name, The Power of Unity, was meant to celebrate a woman for being complex diverse, unapologetically ambitious, and strong. The interconnected vine motifs are meant to represent the community of women from around the world whose bonds unite them and reminds us we are stronger together than apart," explains Fred Mouawad, Co-Guardian of Mouawad's Diamond Division.

The Mikimoto Crown last year worn by Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray was used from 2002 to 2007, and from 2017 to 2018. Produced by the Mikimoto Pearl Company, the head piece symbolized status, power, and beauty as its design depicted a pheonix rising. It’s reportedly worth $250,000, and is made out of 500 colorless diamonds; it's arguably the most sought after crown in the pageant’s history.

The company has provided the VS models with diamond pieces worn on the runway during the now fallen Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The company notably designed 2017’s two-million-dollar Champagne Nights Fantasy Bra worn by Lais Ribeiro. The bedazzled lingerie consisted of 6000 white diamonds, yellow sapphires, and blue topazes, all set in 18-karat yellow gold.
