Fans of the popular running shoe brand Hoka One One (also known as HOKA for short) will be thrilled to know that it is opening its first-ever store in the Philippines. On its Facebook and Instagram accounts, HOKA PH announced earlier today the launch of its premier branch in Ayala Malls Manila Bay happening soon.
HOKA was founded in 2009 with origins in Annecy, France. Its founders found the need for well-cushioned footwear that would allow them to run downhill faster, thus creating the brand’s signature “maximalist” oversized outsoles. This maximum cushion, minimal weight design gained a following from road runners, track runners, marathon runners, and more, establishing it as one of the world’s must-try sports brands for powerful performance.
Prior to this, the brand has also been teasing that “a hub for runners” is coming soon–could there be more than just the physical store? We’ll have to wait and see.
