Laos Fashion Week is on its full swing from September 10 to 14, and this year, Filipino designers are sending down their best work on its runways. Local talents—Julius Tarog, Renan Pacson (Arin), Bryan Peralta, Ched Studio, and Albert Andrada—along with other international designers are poised to showcase their latest work at Landmark Mekong Riverside Hotel, Vientiane Laos.

Among these Filipino designers are two representatives from the Fashion Institute of the Philippines (FIP). Together with Lao Fashion Week's CEO and founder Madam Pany Saignavongs, a deliberation was made to choose who among the top five students of FIP's 2019 graduating batch—including JJ AquinoMariton VillanuevaIvy BarramedaRafaella Dominique, and Clarisse Gotico—will be sent to the said event.

Ultimately, FIP 2019 Designer of the Year JJ Aquino and 2nd runner-up Mariton Villanueva were selected to raise the Philippine flag in behalf of FIP. See the capsule collections of the FIP finalists below.
