President Noynoy Aquino delivered his State of the Nation Address for 2011 and as expected, our eyes were glued to ladies of Philippine politics and their Filipiniana choices. Women like Lucy Torres-Gomez, Tootsie Angara, and Zyrene Parsad opted for pretty traditional ternos garnished with floral appliques, intricate beadwork or shining simply due to a bold color choice. More adventurous women like Risa Hontiveros, Kaye Tinga and Loren Legarda, took a modern approach, using indigenous materials as the local touch on their modern silhouettes.
