YStyle, The Philippine Star’s Friday dose of fashion and beauty, has come up with a different way to celebrate the paper’s 25th anniversary. They commissioned new film favorites Midnight Bonkers (Dondi Narciso, Paolo Pineda, and Ejay Leung) to create a fashion film that will be premiered to the press tonight and launched online for public viewing on March 2, 2011.
“Femme Noir” stars eleven women, mainly a new crop of young, stylish, beautiful faces: Michelle Barrera, Lucille Dizon, Olivia D'Aboville, Garovs Garovillo, Nadine Howell, Kylie Padilla, Pauline Prieto, Sam Sadhwani, Dina Tantoco, Marga Valdes, and Valerie Weigmann. The plot thickens with the addition of the lone, hot male, Brazilian model Bruno Elves.

To shoot the ‘40s style film, they went back in time to Manila Hotel, which boasts of new and improved but still old world interiors. Add a James Bond-y soundtrack, dark makeup, and fierce couture and you’ve got glamorous film noir.
Midnight Bonkers was also the team that created Preview’s first video fashion editorial that was presented during the Preview at 15 party in Cebu. Knowing what their capable of, this is definitely something to watch.
