We've never once been quiet about how much we love the ABS-CBN Ball 2019's theme of Modern Filipiniana, so you'd best believe that combing through the event's red carpet glam for the nth time is a current favorite hobby. And, it's one that's been pretty fruitful! Here, we spy with our eager eagle eye six fashion trends that reigned supreme on the star-studded evening.

1. Corset bodices

The terno has been beloved through the decades for its ultra-flattering wasp waist and distinctive arms, so seeing it doled out by the dozen in bustier and corset iterations made for a winning blend of sexy and old-world demure. Leila Alcasid, Arci Munoz, Chie Filomeno, Yassi Pressman, and Jane Oineza are fans.

2. Single shoulders

Sometimes, two really isn't better than one. The single, asymmetrical shoulders gracefully draping Bea Alonzo, Kisses Delavin, and Yam Concepcion had us swooning. Total goddesses.

3. Gigot sleeves

Also called the "leg of mutton sleeve" for its distinctly, well, ham-shaped effect, the gigot proved the big night's statement arm candy of choice. Particular stunners sporting it were Janella Salvador, Liza Soberano, Cristine Reyes, and Shaina Magdayao.

4. Golden hues

We're not talking just straight up metallic like Maymay Entrata's here. There was a ton of marigold and buttercream to spare, starting with Milezza Jimenez's frothy tulle ruffles and Heaven Peralejo's abanico-inspired pleated tiers.

5. Separates

It's brilliant, honestly. What better way to make the most of a custom creation than by having it done in mix-and-matchable separates? Francine Diaz, Ylona Garcia, and Pia Wurtzbach all got the memo and interpreted it to suit their own individual tastes. Take your pick from sugar-sweet cotton candy pink, wild-child leopard spots, or flapper-worthy fringe.

6. Trousers

Nobody ever said traditional dress had to be limited to flowing frocks. Beauties Jodi Sta. Maria, Maricar Poon, Melai Cantiveros, and Miles Ocampo showed 'em who wears the pants.
