2. Hervé Léger names its new creative director.
Hervé Léger, the designer label who popularized bodycon dresses, names Christian Juul Nielsen as its new creative director. Currently, Christian works as Land of Distraction's creative director, a position which he will continue to hold simultaneously with his new post. His past stints include being the "senior designer of women’s wear at Christian Dior, consulting design director at J.Mendel, design director for Oscar de la Renta, and designer for Nina Ricci," WWD reports.

The Italian company Ermenegildo Zegna Group has acquired 85 percent of the business at a $500 million valuation. Thom Browne is the other sole shareholder. The said acquisition is said to be "a bold expansion plan that will likely broaden [Thom Browne's] customer base and reach," Business of Fashion writes.

4. Nina Ricci hires a duo as its new creative directors.
Designer duo Rushemy Botter and Lisi Herrebrugh are Nina Ricci's newly-appointed creative directors. They will oversee the brand's ready-to-wear collections. Rushemy and Lisi split their time between the Netherlands and the Dominican Republic while managing their Antwerp-based label Botter. Their menswear label has already been recognized within the fashion industry after receiving accolades like the Dries van Noten Award, BVBA32 Ann Demeulemeester Award and the 33rd Hyeres Festival's Jury Grand Prize. The duo were also finalists in the 2018 LVMH Prize competition.

Kylie Jenner ditches Puma to join the rest of her family who are on Team Yeezy. To mark her partnership with Adidas, Kylie debuts the Falcon, which was first introduced in 1997.
