1. Converse just released denim sneakers made entirely out of recycled pants.
Following the release of their sneakers made out of plastic bottles, Converse continues their sustainability efforts with a new offering under their Converse Renew line. They partnered with UK-based vintage clothing store and sustainable fashion brand Beyond Retro and came up with denim sneakers. This pair is made out of upcycled denim jeans. You can purchase your own pair locally at the Converse stores in Greenbelt, Commonwealth, Sole Academy, and Case Study Atelier.
2. LVMH launches the Karl Lagerfeld Prize.
Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH) gives Karl Lagerfeld another touching tribute. LVMH immortalizes the designer by naming after him their Special Prize given at the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers—it's the very same committee where Karl sat as one of the judges for years.
The first Karl Lagefeld Prize will be awarded "during the sixth edition of the contest on September 4 at the Fondation Louis Vuitton," WWD reports. The winner of the award is set to receive "150,000 euros and a one-year mentorship program provided by a dedicatedâ€¨ LVMH team offering expertise in such areas as intellectual property, sourcing, production, distribution, image, communication and marketing."

4. Gucci teams up with Comme des Garcon to make the cutest tote.
You'll want to fly over to Singapore, stat! Gucci is collaborating with Comme des Garçon for the cutest tote you'll love to carry all around. Called the Kraft, their new collab features a beige paperbag-like carryall that bears Gucci's famous red and green stripes, a floral pattern, and of course, CDG's logo.
5. Nike unveils their most high-tech Hurache sneakers yet.
Nike is out to conquer the tech world with their newest Huarache pairs that you can control via Siri. Imagine lacing up your shoes with just a tap on your screens. So cool! Nike Adapt Huaraches can be controlled through the Nike Adapt app and will allow people sporting the said pair to access “a number of preset fit recommendations for foot type and activity," says Nike in an announcement.
