Anne Curtis once again has the internet abuzz with her latest TVC for L’Oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Shampoo debuting on the brand’s Facebook Page early this week. While jetting off on a helicopter, driving down the highway in a convertible and plunging into the water head-first are acts that would usually leave us looking like disasters, Anne once again confirms our suspicion that she looks good doing just about anything—hair all over her face or no hair all over her face. But more than just the amazing frame-by-frame account of her perfect locks, what really caught our eye was the gratuitous display of designer gowns that made the commercial’s final cut.
Stylist Pam Quinones who worked on the wardrobe, gave us the inside scoop. “The overall look is classic elegance. As with the designs (which were all made especially for the TVC), there’s a subtle suggestion to the 90’s. However, I still wanted the clothes to appear timeless and graceful which is why the looks are devoid of embellishments,” she explained.
Martin Bautista offered a total of four of the dresses which included the two-tone nude dress she wore while awaiting her helicopter, a sandy deep-V caftan for the scene in the desert, and two red gowns—one she wore while taking in the view atop a hill and the second for the underwater scene.
Rajo Laurel served up two of his designs, a red raw-edged chiffon dress with a grey men’s jacket for the dramatic window shot and a black matte velvet slip (with a dangerously low back) that she wore against the geometric quilted wall.
JC Buendia’s barong made her driving shot ultra cool (because what else would you be wearing while driving in a red hot sports car) while Joey Samson’s modern cage terno was instantly recognizable against the crimson set. And after peeling our eyes of trying to catch a proper glimpse of all eight outfits shown, you’ll be left wondering how they managed to fit in that much fashion in just sixty seconds.
