Fashion Editors Call Dibs on Their Favorites from Manila Fashion Festival Pieces we just need to have!

Last week, we were treated with the Fall/Winter 2016 collections of both young and seasoned Filipino designers. Sitting in the front row, in between the oohs and the aahs were definitely a couple of "I-need-that-in-my-life"-s. Lucky for us, Art Personas partnered with Zalora this year and just made shopping for pieces straight from the runway incredibly easy! Read: They are now available for pre-order on Zalora.com! The Preview and Style Bible editors share a few of their favorites below.

Loris Peña’s Picks

Bengt Enrique’s bishop sleeve top and acid wash boyfriend jeans. Just the right amount of sexy, edgy, and cool. “

Esme Palaganas’ weaved skirt and beaded top. The amount of time spent to make the garments makes me want to wear them even more.”

Janey Aniban’s Pick

“Calling dibs on this dress from Tony Evan! What drew me to this piece were the cutouts, which were so simple yet flattering and leave a striking impression.”

"You can never have too many button-downs in your closet. Also, bell sleeves are a hot trend right now so this one from Tony Evan is just perfect for the summer."

“The new way to wear formal is to dress it down. Now you can rock evening frocks in the day by adding quirky accents (some sushi from Tipay Caintic, anyone?) and pare the look down with white sneakers."

“Ask anyone who knows me and they'd say this look is very "Bea". I want those Mark Tamayo and Nino Angeles trousers so bad! I can already imagine dressing them up with a hubadera top or a plain t-shirt.”

Marj Ramos’ Pick

Banggo Niu's entire collection was a hit, but this particular top stood out for me. It's business in the front, party in the back.”

Maura Rodriguez’s Picks

Bengt Enrique's hoop skirts. Though maybe a challenge to laundry, I really like the way Bengt incorporated hardware to his flute hem skirts without looking too tough or punk but still very ladylike.”

Jaz Cerezo's ochre knot dress. I'm in love with all things knotted and this dress could be dressed down and up with the right choice of lace up heels or sneakers. Versatile, comfy, but ultimately my soon-to-be contemporary closet staple.”

Mark Buenaobra’s Pick

"Banggo Niu's loungy take on short shorts has me written all over it."
