If there's anything that can bring out the child in us, it's Disneyland. But while adults can spend an entire day to their heart's content riding each and every attraction in the land of dreams, there's one thing they're prohibited by Disneyland to do—that is: dressing up like a Disney character. While kids can run around the park in princess costumes all they want, it's a different story for adults who wish to cosplay as their favorite character, and for good reason. This is so there isn't any confusion between avid adult costume goers and the actual in-house Disney performers. After all, we wouldn't want to confuse the children when it comes to taking a photo with the real Mickey Mouse.
However, for true Disney babies who haven't let adulthood dull the child within them, there's always a workaround. Instead of visiting the park in full on costume, they take inspiration from their favorite Disney characters instead to create a look that, in some way, resembles the said character. Think Disney, but make it fashion! In fact, this way of dressing has become so popular that there's even a term coined for it. It's called Disney-bounding, done by a cultural fashion sub-group known as Disney-bounders: adults whose love for Disney knows no bounds that even the way they dress in their everyday lives is inspired by the famous fictional mouse and all his friends.
