In recent news, two of the world’s most popular street-style photographers, Garance Doré and Scott Schuman, called it quits, putting an end to their seven-year relationship. He wrote on his blog, "We've shared so much of our creative life—and more—with you, our readers, that we thought it was right to let you know. Our mutual respect and admiration for each other have left us still great friends. Our time together profoundly changed both of our lives for the better and I deeply thank her for that experience. It's a difficult time but we are both doing okay."
As Heidi Kulm would say, “one day you’re in, and the next day you’re out.” The same sometimes applies to lovers who at one point are blissfully in love only to end up hitting rock bottom the next. However, there is a silver lining to it. Not all romances end up in the dump, some last for as long as they live (or stand each other) while others just fizzle to a platonic kind of love (or a mutual hatred).
Here we look at a few stylish pairings of past and present that make monogamy look chic while it lasts.
TILL DEATH DO THEY PART (WE PRAY)
DIGITAL LOVE: Justin O’ Shea and Veronika Heilbrunner

He’s the buying director and she’s the senior fashion editor of online site Mytheresa.com. Together, this stylish duo never fails to give street-style shutter bugs their slice of the cake as they hit the fashion circuit.
FOR THE LONG HAUL: Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman

From the moment they met in 1991, Rachel and Roger have been inseparable. Twenty-two years later, the restaurant hostess and the waiter grew up to be one of the world’s most in-demand stylist/designer and the president of his wife’s namesake brand.
ANTI-REPELLING: Leandra Medine and Abie Cohen

Who would have thought that the girl behind the rib-tickling fashion blog, Manrepeller.com would actually end up getting married? Through froufrou’s and flower crowns, her financier husband, Albie, proves that even the most man-repelling outfits can’t hide a great girl from a great guy.
SOCIAL BUTTERFLIES: Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl

Each time the American socialite and the German model post something on their Instagram accounts, followers are quick to send hearts by swiftly double-tapping. From Sunday swims to Friday nights out, the newlyweds never fail to hit the social media scene in style.
BUSINESS OF FASHION: Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough

So rarely does one find a partner who he/she can totally be in sync with. Luck stuck Lazaro and Jack when they first met at Parsons. From thesis mates, the pair eventually grew to becoming the creative force behind Proenza Schouler.
FLAMES OF THE PAST
SWEET SARTORIALS: Garance Dore and Scott Schuman

We can’t help but feel sad for their split but we’re sure to still see some stylish snaps from these two photographers who grew before everyone’s eyes via their respective blogs.
STEREOTYPICAL KIND OF LOVE: Kate Moss and Pete Doherty

The union between a rock star and a model might be too cliché but we can’t deny the thrill it brings—badass-ery and all. Now Kate may have ended up marrying another rock star, Jamie Hince, but her time with Pete is surely one for the books.
JUST FRIENDS: Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce

Imagine a world without Dolce & Gabbana? What would we do without Light Blue? Good thing only the romance fizzled when Stefano and Domencio called it quits. The two remain good friends and colleagues and we couldn’t be happier.
HOLLYWOOD HANGOVER: Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin

You would have thought that Coldplay’s Chris Martin would have had enough of the glam and glitz but turns out that he hasn’t really. In case you haven't heard, the lead vocalist has apparently started dating none other than Jennifer Lawrence. Though he cites J.Law as the complete opposite of his ex-wife, Gwyneth, there’s no escaping that Hollywood factor. If anything, both women have been red-carpet favorites.
SCISSORED IN: Winona Ryder and Johnny Depp

Here’s a pair that goes way back. Though the flames of this romance died a long time ago, we couldn’t help but reminisce on how their dark and unique sense of style perfectly complemented the other.
