A career in fashion is a road that is challenging and ever-changing, with no exact formula or manual you can follow. But if you're guided by expert mentors who can consolidate their years of learning experience in a tailor-made program, then you may save yourself from having to start with zero knowledge. Let's face it—talent is not enough to make it in the fashion industry. You also need technical know-how and a pragmatic approach.
Here's where the Fashion + Arts + Business (FAB) Creatives comes in. This local fashion collective "was established to enhance and promote the Philippine fashion industry by offering opportunities to learn everything about fashion and its related arts, and other business applications." Its students will be mentored and trained by a slew of Philippines' greats in the world of fashion.
Imagine being under the tutelage of Inno Sotto, Ivarluski Aseron, JC Buendia, Jun de Leon, Rita Nazareno, Rhett Eala, Jackie Aquino, and Jojie Lloren. Are you also interested in other fashion-related fields like modeling, photography, and more? You can learn straight from the bests in their respective fields—think Sara Black, Robbie Carmona, Tweetie De Leon-Gonzalez, Apple Faraon, Jo Ann Bitagcol, and more.
"These professionals will share their expertise, techniques, work ethics, and discipline, as well as their passion and commitment to the work that they do, as these are the tools that have helped them advance and sustain their careers throughout the years," FAB Creatives shares in a press statement.
Their one-year intensive Fashion program consists of workshops that are taught in a "non-traditional classroom format" meaning, students get an enriching experience done in a small class size is small, which allows learning "personalization and direct mentoring."
Additionally. FAB Creatives share that their workshops are open to all. This includes "practitioners, hobbyists, students, business owners, or simply the curious—as long as they are interested and willing to learn." They provide basic technical workshops for beginners who have junior skills, as well as "those who seek intermediate and advanced skills development." They can even give you "business and career workshops for personal and professional enhancement, as well as customized modules for companies, schools, and foundations."
