On some days, Kylie Verzosa wakes up and feels like putting on one of her cutout-adorned dresses. Other times, she's feeling a bit more cutesy, and opts for a fun, head-to-toe pink look. When it comes to dressing up, the beauty-queen-turned-actress is a staunch believer that anything goes.
"I just like dressing up, like having fun depending sa mood ko," she tells Preview in an exclusive interview. A lot may think that Kylie prefers to style herself on the sultrier side of things, given the slew of skin-baring OOTDs she has on Instagram, but she asserts that it really just depends given how she's feeling on a certain day.
"If I'm feeling a bit sexy, then yeah, I'll show a bit more skin. If I'm feeling a bit more cute and fun, then I'll play [that up] you know. If I'm feeling a bit happy, or if I need a little pick-me-up, then I'll wear more color," she illustrates. "So I wouldn't say na my style is super sexy, it just depends talaga sa mood ko."
Whatever she has on, a certain air of confidence always seems to radiate off of Kylie, and it is most probably because she, frankly, just wears what she wants. Her advice for anyone intending to feel their best in any outfit is to simply do the same.
"Honestly, you just have to find the right clothes that suit you. Parang when you see someone on Instagram—yes, you can appreciate it, but also, at the same time, try to find the right things that fit for you. For example, if A-line dresses fit you well, if you feel like you look best in it, then wear it!"
The 30-year-old makes it evidently clear that dressing up is all about having fun with fashion, while at the same time, also making sure that you feel as comfortable as possible.
"Just try to figure out what style suits you best, that brings out your personality, and make sure na comfortable ka in your own skin. That's what matters," she states matter-of-factly. "You just have to be comfortable, and then it will show. You don't even have to try much. Just be comfortable, and happy, and then the confidence will come.'
