Everything You Need to Know:

The Elie Saab X H&M Collection

Who Is Elie Saab?

Elie Saab first made a name for himself as one of Beirut’s most sought-after bridalwear designers, attracting brides with his intricate craftsmanship and signature aesthetic rooted in opulence and timeless femininity.

He went on to dress some of the world's biggest stars, creating memorable red carpet looks for Halle Berry, whose embroidered gown at the 2002 Oscars remains one of the ceremony's most iconic fashion moments, and Kate Winslet, whose scarlet, cap-sleeved gown at the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards was immortalized in wax at Madame Tussauds. His celebrity clientele also includes Beyoncé, who has worn his creations onstage during her world tours, and Mariska Hargitay, who recently took home two trophies at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

A respected figure in the global fashion industry, Elie Saab became the first Lebanese designer to be admitted to France’s Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, regularly presenting his collections at Paris Haute Couture Week. He was also the first non-Italian designer to be inducted into the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, the governing body of Milan Fashion Week, for his ready-to-wear line.

“Mr. Saab is a designer we have always respected—the journey from master of bridalwear in Beirut to the centre of Paris fashion is an amazing, rich story and we are so excited to be exploring his world,” Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M Creative Advisor and Head of Design Womenswear, shares. She adds that customers can look forward to a “magical, ornate, and glamorous collection.”

H&M Launches the H&M Elie Saab Collection

True to the maison’s design DNA, the collection embraces unapologetic glamour while balancing fluidity and structure. It features gradient tones, signature monograms, and romantic silhouettes punctuated by sharp tailoring, delicate lace, and plenty of shimmer.

The eveningwear, in particular, showcases Elie Saab’s signature design codes. Standout pieces include a sculptural black gown with an exaggerated bow at the waist; a fully beaded black-and-gold strapless gown with a trumpet hem and a daring slit; and a floor-grazing emerald gown that gradually deepens into inky tones toward the hem. Here, more is more, but the effect remains polished and refined.

The dazzle doesn’t end with the black-tie outfits. For eveningwear-optional affairs, the collection also carries an embellished peplum top, a fully sequined blazer and trousers, lace-trimmed separates, contemporary tuxedo essentials such as a pussy-bow shirt and caped jacket, and even a coordinating leather bomber jacket and skirt that fades from black to chocolate brown.

For the gents, the monogrammed T-shirt is a closet go-to you’ll reach for again and again, while the classic double-breasted jacket with satin lapels, paired with a matching tuxedo shirt and trousers, is a worthy sartorial investment that will endure fleeting trends.

Don’t scrimp on the finishing touches! From cascading earrings to a statement flower choker, the collection’s versatility shows in its accessories. Whether it’s lace evening gloves for the theater, a croc-effect handbag that can take you from the office to date night, or even a trusty wool-blend pashmina to keep you cozy and chic, complete your look with a touch of glamour from this collab.
