Following the success of "Cinderella", Disney is reportedly eyeing another live-action retelling. And the next princess to get such treatment is—oops!—not a princess but a legendary warrior. The heroine, who runs away from home, disguises herself as a man so she can take her father's place in the army and go to war, is none other than Mulan.
The 1998 animated film will hit the big screens once again, but this time, as a live-action version. No release date or casting has been announced yet but it seems Disney is surely getting down to business, adding to its growing list of reimagined iconic animated films: "Cinderella", "Maleficent", "Alice in Wonderland". Beauty and the Beast is on the way, as well as "The Jungle Book". We heard a live-action "Dumbo" with Tim Burton is in the works, too!
We wonder now: Who will be that girl, staring straight back at me?
