If these are questions you often think about, then you should definitely give the new challenge on TikTok a go. Like the #GucciModelChallenge, outfit challenges have been taking TikTok by storm. That said, it’s no surprise that the latest how-to-style craze to hit the platform is the “Dior Front Row Outfit Challenge,” created by TikTok user Janette Ok a.k.a. @inmyseams. She breaks down the key elements to creating a spot-on interpretation of the brand’s signature look that’ll have you looking front row-ready.
In the video, Janette explains a step-by-step styling guide to creating the look, starting off with a neutral turtleneck paired with a full skirt or dramatic dress underneath. It's then followed by a blazer that's buttoned up and cinched with a belt for that iconic Dior look, topped off with statement heels or boots and a chic hair accessory. And just like that, you’ve got yourself a front row-ready look!
The challenge was inspired by a slew of celebs and online personalities—from YouTuber Liza Koshy to K-celeb Suzy Bae—sporting the signature look at Dior shows.
If you think that the silhouette is familiar, it’s actually a modernized version of Christian Dior’s iconic “new look” silhouette coined in the 1940s. Current creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri modernized the look into something more relaxed and less restricted. It’s also a key style combo, which the designer creates numerous iterations of every season.
