Promotions for Only We Know are in full swing, and actors Dingdong Dantes and Charo Santos have been attending screenings left and right. The "Dong-Charo movie" floated since before the pandemic has finally hit the cinemas, giving audiences much to talk about. Aside from the trailer's tight-lipped plot (are they or aren't they?!), netizens are now abuzz with the leading man's totally relatable "hungry shoe" moment.

Dingdong Dantes' Broken Shoe at the "Only We Know" Movie Screening
On a recent Facebook post, Dingdong Dantes shared a photo that showcased his broken shoe. Hilariously calling it "hungry," the photo shows the sole of his oxford footwear separating from the upper, creating a silhouette that mimics an open mouth.

"Gutom na! Shhhh," he jokingly captioned, playfully inserting the movie hashtag as a fitting innuendo for his wardrobe malfunction.
As confirmed by his stylist Melville Sy of Studio 24.C, the exact shoe was from New York luxury men's lifestyle brand John Varvatos. The designer of the eponymous label was formerly at the helm of Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren, even establishing the more casual Polo Jeans Company, and these all-American classic yet approachable menswear sensibilities are evident in his ethos.

Dong's pair was the Side Buck Wingtip, and it exudes the label's signature touch of rock 'n' roll that's still very much dapper in 2025. The laceless steppers were crafted in gray suede and featured perforated leather eyelets and quarters in a deep umber hue.
