Designer Spotlight: Tara Soriano Holiday 2010 Dainty silver jewelry to frost yourself with this coming holiday season.

To help us add a dash of glimmer to our upcoming holiday ensembles, accessory designer Tara Soriano came up with a jewelry collection called Flowering Fixation. Composed mainly of dainty little earrings with a floral motif, the collection is Tara’s ode to recalling blossoms during the nippy season.

“I wanted to keep the idea of blossoming nature alive for the Fall/Winter season,” says Tara. “It's entirely different from my past collection of brass cuffs with tarnished leather roses. I decided to go that direction to show versatility of design and to keep my clients happy with variety. This collection is awesome for day to night time use since they are classic and chic.”

The studs feature single flowers or tiny intricate “bouquets” of blooms that are affixed to a simple silver-set precious gem. But aside from the pretty little earrings, Tara also has a few uncommonly designed rings (miniature versions of almost-knuckle dusters) and textured cuffs that add just the right bit of spunk to counteract the sweetness of her floral inspiration. She also threw in a hummingbird motif—most visible on the textured cuff—because she thought “they were too irresistible not to do.”
