Pia Gladys Perey unveiled her Spring/Summer 2011 collection in Martinis at the Mandarin Oriental over the long weekend. The Angelina Jolie-worn and Patricia Fields-stocked designer presented a slew of elegant cocktail and evening dresses of jersey, silk, and silk charmeuse done in her signature romantic style that accentuates women’s curves and appeals to the sexy feminine sensibility.
In lovely accordance to the lightheartedness of spring and summer, she decided to stick to her usual color palette of muted hues such as ivory, pale pink, and taupe, this time adding a jolt of vibrance to the collection with jewel tones of cobalt blue, red violet, and aubergine. The glimmering swathes of fabric are mostly draped around the female form to echo its natural curves, resulting in a selection of classic evening wear that fluidly embodies romantic femininity.
