PHILIPPINE FASHION WEEK SPRING/SUMMER 2013 DAY 3: Ideal Vision presents ERIC DELOS SANTOS, RAOUL RAMIREZ, ROLAND LIRIO, VANIA ROMOFF
Four designers present a highly polished collection of S/S must-haves, with an appealing mix of fluid frocks and strong tailoring motifs.
ERIC DELOS SANTOS
Your summer nights are off to a posh start, thanks to Eric’s breathtaking pieces that were set to match a sun-kissed tan. The designer brought us to wonderland with his fluid jewel-toned dresses that fluttered against the room’s cool breeze, making us wish for a hot-weather headstart. His bejewelled frocks and cocktail pieces were also a sensory treat, perfect for dancing in the moonlight.
From pale solids to prints to metallics, the designer made sure he’s got something to fit your personality. His 73-piece (yes, 73!) collection covered various looks for every age. What stood out though, were his sequined creations like his deep V hoodie and gilded gown cast from meters of shimmering fabric.
Roland’s bright architectural medley came as a wonderful surprise—a breath of fresh air from his previous works and from the other florid, flowy pieces on previous shows. Sleek cuts and clean lines as seen on this sheer aqua shift and this A-line dress dominated the show, featuring a playful side of his design persona. We also adore his comic book-inspired prints and sporty-meets-formal pieces with an extra street spirit. #AthleticChic!
The "designer for women" brought her A-game to the fore with gracefully constructed gowns, showcasing her knack for red carpet-ready dresses Starting off with sharp pieces followed by her signature dramatic drapes, Vania’s summer showcase was certainly a thing of skill and tasteful beauty.
