Designer & Muse: Sassa Jimenez

Sassa brings the '20s spirit to Privé.
Designer & Muse: Sassa Jimenez Sassa brings the '20s spirit to Privé.

It was the spirit of the 1920s that Sassa Jimenez chose to revive in each personalized creation for her nine muses at the Privé Fashion Series. Deviating a tad from the standard '20s norm, Sassa chose to steer clear of the typical flapper attires; no head-to-toe fringe dresses or coquettish, short skirts here.

On the flipside, Sassa drew inspiration from the comfortable silhouettes characteristic of the garments of that era, with relaxed shapes becoming her main theme. Dropped waists, boxy frames and roomy fits became the foundation of shapes for her usual feminine froufrou. To kick up the currency, Sassa adorned some of her pieces with oh-so-very-now metal chains, a nice touch amongst the fanciful layers, frill and feathers.
