Designer & Muse: Rosanna Ocampo

Member's Only

The fourth installment of the Prive Fashion Series, co-presented by Preview magazine and Bacardi Rum, had Member's Only filled to standing with the buzz worthy crowd of the evening's hostess, Rosanna Ocampo.

“What you can expect from me are my usual color explosions,” she enthuses about the evening's dresses. “This collection is a tribute to Monet—I was inspired by his paintings of the Giverny Gardens.”

This explains the mix matching of abstract florals and lace, adorned with patches of petals or sequined flowers. Coupled with Rosanna's penchant for dipped necklines, high hemlines, and dangerously low backs, it made for a line that was anything but wallflower material.

Rosanna dressed twelve women that evening, the most so far in the series. “My muses are really more of my friends,” shares the designer. “I chose them because they represent exactly what my design philosophy is and what I really cater to—I cater to women of the now, who are always on the go. They're modern, versatile, career-oriented, family-oriented, and of course, fashionistas.”
