Gabbie Sarenas’ Fall/Winter 2016 collection is the perfect embodiment of a refined Filipina, but with a modern twist. Her designs, which were greatly inspired by the Tagalog love poem by Jose Corazon de Jesus, present a refreshing take on the traditional piña cloth made more feminine with floral prints. Sashaying down the catwalk in pastel perfection, her dolled up models were quite a vision donning shift dresses, midi skirts, and preppy collared tops.
