If there’s anything we liked about the Nevertheless finale, it’s that our favorite couple, Sol and Jiwan, was treated just like any other heterosexual pairing on the show. Throughout the 10th episode, the best friends turned girlfriends were all loved up, reveling in their newfound relationship without needing to worry about what others would think.
While the two didn’t get more than a handhold, for a K-drama we’re calling that a win in our books. Speaking of hands, a detail we’re still not over was Soljiwan’s matching daisy-shaped couple rings, highlighted in their last scene together, right after Sol (Lee Ho Jung) once again reaffirmed her unwavering feelings for Jiwan (Yoon Seo Ah). If that’s not enough to make you swoon, FYI, in the Victorian language of flowers, a daisy conveys acceptance, loyal love, and new beginnings. Definitely signs of a true, mutual, healthy relationship, if you catch our drift.
