Tradition meets innovation for COS' Fall/Winter 2023 collection, as they reimagine timeless pieces through deconstruction and refinement. Debuted in New York Fashion Week, the 43-look set was a sensory feast with fashionistas such as Heart Evangelista, Liz Uy, Laureen Uy, and Camille Co in attendance.

The brand brings to life a fresh perspective by exploring different textures and silhouettes, while still maintaining its stance to being day-to-night closet staples. It's a delicate balance, but they're definitely rocking it in style. Scroll on for all the details!

LOOK: Style Notes from the COS Autumn/Winter 2023 Collection

A masterclass on deconstruction, the runway collection featured the traditional tailored silhouettes altered for an edgy yet still elegant ensemble. Masculine pieces enjoy a touch of spice and femininity, from waistcoats being turned to haltered tops paired with slitted maxi skirts, to a figure-hugging elongated strapless top reminscent to a blazer.

Basics are also elevated for functionality. A classic maxi dress knitted with merino wool shapes a flattering form, while removable shoulder pads allow for versatility, whether for a glamorous or casual occasion. While its length and shoulder-structure adhere to the season's trends, its cut and color makes it a closet mainstay for seasons to come.

Taking a page off their menswear offering, soft powersuits akin to '70s queens like Bianca Jagger were also a highlight. An oversized suit with a shawl lapel teamed with flared trousers is an eye-catching statement outfit for events and a night out.

The weather may be getting chilly towards the end of the year, but it doesn't mean we can't show a bit of skin. For hubaderas navigating the cold front, a mini-dress made from wool is the perfect compromise. While an option from the COS runway featured a sprinkling of peek-a-boo's on top, it was balanced by a distinctive caped sleeve. Cap it off with an extra large plain black tote to keep it classy!

Another way to keep warm and toasty during the cooler months is to finish off your 'fits with the quintessential black boots. Opt for a sleek take on the cowboy boots for a versatile mix.
