Christopher de Venecia, congressman of the 4th district of Pangasinan, and the chairman of The Creative Indusry Committee, just sponsored a new bill that seeks to uphold the rights of creatives and freelancers everywhere. In a plenary session held yesterday, February 1, he spoke of the bill's intentions.
In his speech, Cong. de Venecia states that within our population, there are 1.5 to 4 million individuals who work on a freelance basis, 65% of which are women. "This measure proposes to protect and promote the welfare of our freelancers, reocgnizing that as workers, they do have rights," he says.
As it is standard to wear formal Filipiniana attire at such functions, the politician donned a modern take on the ensemble. Congresswoman Aniela Tolentino of the 8th district of Cavite shared snaps of his OOTD's noteworthy details.

As it turns out, his look was crafted by young local designers from head-to-toe. The custom-made barong tagalog, which was fashioned after the print on flour sack tops, was by streetwear label Proudrace. Meanwhile, his navy blue trousers that had contrast-stitching details were by eccentric brand Ha.Mu.. Love!

What a great look to announce such a great bill! More power to you, Cong. de Venecia!
