Collective retail store Distinqt has been one of our guilty pleasures for the hottest, coolest, designer goods that are quite difficult to cop anywhere else in the metro. (Honestly, it's so hard to resist the urge to enter the store when it's beaming with items from Maison Margiela, Versus Versace, and Delpozo, among others.) Well, Distinqt is giving us more reasons to swing by every time we visit BGC. It now carries cult bag brand Complét, which is based in Tel Aviv and helmed by three creative women. Aside from its Instagrammable arm candy, there are many things about the brand that make it worth the trip to the store. Read on to find out: 

1. It's designed in Tel Aviv and made in Italy.

Complét is the brainchild of friends Sivan Moshkovitz, Leonora Fuhrer-Agmon, and Emily Whyte-Meridor who are all based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Prior to Emily joining the founding duo, Complét was manufactured solely in Tel Aviv, prompting the brand to find a new manufacturing base in Italy.

"You have the quality, the individual style and the price-point. It's a hard thing to combine and execute in a desirable product," Emily shares with Business of Fashion. Since its global launch in October 2016, the brand has cemented itself as the "It bag" brand for those looking for luxurious, minimalist leather bags.

2. The creative director is actually the goddaughter of Hubert de Givenchy.

While a cool pedigree can only get you so far if you don't have the talent to boot, Leonora Fuhrer-Agmon has the best of both worldsher godfather is actually the renowned French couturier Hubert de Givenchy, and he was supportive of her brand since its inception. “He was always interested in what I was doing, and when I started Complét he gave his blessing," Leonora shares with Vogue UK.

3. Everything is designed to be a wardrobe mainstay.

While Complét's designs are au courant (what with the sculptural feel and fun geometry play), they're not only built to last but made to work for most of your outfits. Hence, the classic dyed leather hues such as chocolate brown, black, white, and versatile pastel colors like powder blue and baby pink. Plus, Complét offers bags in different sizes, so you're bound to find one (or two) that can take you from day to night. They even have tiny purses if you're still hooked on that trend!

4. It's the best street style companion.

With its fine quality and tasteful (yet youthful!) design, it wasn't long before Complét became the much-coveted It bag amongst fashion's most stylish set. Perhaps the hero piece that is most associated with the brand is the Valery. Characterized by its hoop handle and envelope body, it quickly became the tote du jour for any ensemble, whether it was androgynous streetwear, chill city garb, or quirky high fashion.
