The rumor mill is abuzz with Dior's impending announcement. After the fashion label's couture show this July, it was reported that the brand would announce its newest Creative Director. Coming off of a successful run at Valentino, Maria Grazia Chiuri steps up to the plate as she takes on her first solo design role (she previously teamed up with Pierpaolo Piccioli for Valentino.)
Fashion trivia: Maria and Pierpaolo are responsible for the rise of the Rockstud.
Ironically, the fashion house that shaped women's fashion over the years has never had a female touch. She joins the ranks of Yves Saint Laurent, Gianfranco Ferre, John Galliano, and Raf Simons.
