Christi McGarry has never shied away from expressing her love for travel—and her homeland, the Philippines, is no exception. Her pride in being from the tropical country shines through, not just in how she explores its islands and waters, but also in how she shares those experiences with the many people who follow her adventures.

Even her outfit choices reflect her admiration for her fellow Filipinos and their creativity. A recent OOTD captured in Bacnotan, La Union, illustrates this beautifully.

Christi McGarry Is a Golden Goddess in All-Filipino Resortwear
While rain pours over most of the Philippines in July, the spirit of summer never quite fades. Light fabrics and vibrant colors remain a go-to, and local brands know this well.

Christi wore a halter maxi dress from Araw, in a shade of yellow reminiscent of beachside skies and sunshine. The brand takes pride in modernizing vintage-inspired styles and silhouettes, turning them into sophisticated pieces designed for comfort and longevity.

Complementing the minimalist dress was a pair of iridescent shell earrings made with organic black lip mother-of-pearl. Their beauty goes beyond the surface—the piece, from Maaari, was ethically mined and sustainably sourced. It was also crafted by Ethnic Ventures, an all-female community based in Southern Cebu. Talk about a statement piece!

For her arm candy of the day, Christi chose bangles and rings from Golden Monstera. The Siargao-based jewelry brand is known for its sculptural brass pieces, proving that sustainable can indeed be luxurious. Made in collaboration with Filipino artisans, these consciously crafted accessories showcase the depth of local skill and creativity.

To complete the look, her hair was styled in a sleek low ponytail, neatly braided—a polished and practical choice for the tropical climate. Glossy nude lips offered a pared-back finish that let her eyes take center stage. They were defined by a sharp winged liner that Christi drew herself (thank you, years of pageantry!)—and, of course, fluttery lashes from New Lounge.
