There are many brides who dream of an intricately embellished wedding dresses. However, some envision theirs to be a little more unassuming yet elegant; some even want their gowns to reflect their hubadera aesthetic. Now, if you're a bride-to-be and can't seem to decide between simple or sultry, local designer Chris Nick’s new 2022 bridal collection will end your wedding gown search and give you the best of both worlds.
With Casey Merritt as his muse, we see the model donning minimalist white ensembles punctuated by Chris’ signatire touches of ostrich feathers, large bows, and structured silhouettes. As shared by the designer, he took inspiration from his favorite Old Hollywood films he grew up with and captured their timeless style in his bridal collection.

In his latest collection, we see the glam of the Golden Era of Hollywood. In fact, his dress' fitted column silhouettes remind us of Marilyn Monroe’s iconic pink dress in the 1953 film, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Of course, he adds his own flair with his pieces such as a feathered bodice, oversized off-shoulder sleeves, bows, and floor-grazing scarves. If a more vouminous skirt is what you're after, the designer also has one that resembles a ball gown paired with a silk mikado bow detail.
What makes a Chris Nick bride is a confident woman who isn't afraid to step outside her comfort zone. She's also comfortable in her own body and isn't afraid to show a bit of skin! If that sounds like you, then you can opt for a dress with a fully exposed back cutout, a mini dress either covered in feathers, one with deconstructed terno sleeves, or a slit dress.
Continuing with the sultry aesthetic, Chris also has two-piece creations featuring bralette tops. They can be partnered with either a long or mini skirt with a floor-length sash wrapped around them (that also doubles as a train, BTW!), or a pair of trousers and a crisp blazer.
Although if you’re looking for something more modest for your big day, then his high-neck gowns with long sleeves or structured tuxedo-inspired garments might be more up your alley.
