The Chanel Flap is one of fashion's most enduring designs, and for good reason. Generations of stylish consumers have been smitten by the quilted arm candy, with its classic black leather iteration consistently the most sought-after style.
Every now and then, though, a fresh reimagining of the model catches our attention and doesn't let go. In the case of the maison's Métiers d'art 2026 show, designed by current creative director Matthieu Blazy, the Flap leans into its wild side, reinterpreted as the animal kingdom's tallest creature. It's a quirky makeover that's already gotten nods from style icons Marian Rivera and Mimiyuuuh!

No stranger to some double C's, Marian debuted her new friend at a Bulgari soiree hosted by her stylist Melville Sy. The piece, which features a burgundy-hued leather exterior and golden features of a giraffe, definitely took her OOTD from a 10 to a 100. It's a tote that's impossible not to marvel at!
Just recently, our girl Mimiyuuuh added yet another piece to her growing collection of quirky bags. With its anatomical shape and eye-catching colorway, it definitely fits right in Mimi's maximalist wardrobe. As she exhibited in a reel, it can be worn as a clutch, crossbody, or a handheld purse.
About the Giraffe-Shaped Chanel Flap
A wearable work of art, this expression of the Flap was a banner piece of Matthieu Blazy's debut Métiers d'art show. The collection, staged underground in a New York City subway, aimed to inject an abundant sense of whimsy into the Chanel girl's wardrobe—and if you ask us, reimagining a classic Flap as a giraffe is probably as fantastical as it gets. (FYI: Aside from this piece, the showcase also features a bag with squirrel features!)
On Chanel's official website, the exact Flap is listed with its price available upon request. However, some fashion lurkers have discovered that the giraffe-shaped carrier retails for $22,900, which is approximately P1.4 million. Crafted from lambskin and gold-tone metal, it's a statement piece that any vintage seeker will likely hunt down in the future.
