Pharrell Williams has won the CFDA Fashion Icon Award for 2015.
The "Happy" hitmaker has been announced as the recipient of the prestigious accolade and will be honored with the award when the ceremony takes place on June 1 at Alice Tully Hall in New York.
The 41-year-old singer joins last year's winner Rihanna and past honorees Johnny Depp, Lady Gaga, Iman, Kate Moss and Nicole Kidman in receiving the award, which is "given to an individual whose style has made a significant impact on popular culture on an international stage".
Fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg, who is president of the CFDA, said of their decision, "If cool was a person, it would be Pharrell, not just for his looks and sense of style but for his kindness and openness. I cannot imagine anyone not seduced by him."
Also in with a chance of being honored at the event is fashion design duo Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen whose collection The Row has earned them nods in the Womenswear Designer of the Year and Accessories Designer of the Year categories.
The 28-year-old twins are joined in both categories by Proenza Schouler designers, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, who have also been shortlisted for the accolades.
Meanwhile, Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne's collection for Public School has received two nominations too, appearing in the shortlist for Menswear Designer of the Year and Swarovski Award for Womenswear.
