Cupid struck 2018 hard as some of our favorite celebs chose to say 'I do' this year before their closest friends and family. From local stars, to international royalty, today we roundup all the celebrity weddings that had us gushing in envy, and actually declaring to ourselves 'Love is real, you guys!'
1. Martine Cajucom and Cliff Ho
Martine Cajucom tied the knot with beau Cliff Ho last September, accompanied by arguably the most hilarious celebrity wedding hashtag this year: #MartineIsAHo. The couple flew their closest family and friends to Bali for a beautiful seaside wedding at the Alila Villas in Uluwatu. The blushing bride walked down the aisle in a sleeveless silk muslin Rosa Clara gown, and later changed into a custom Dana Harel for their reception. Guests were treated to a sumptuous, massive grazing table before being met with a pastel-themed reception with a sky of fairly lights adorning the venue. The night concluded with a captivating fireworks display to mark the couple's new life together.
2. Kat Ramnani and Christian Bautista
This year saw another picturesque Bali wedding with singer Christian Bautista, and telecommunications exec Kat Ramnani. The couple kicked off their wedding week with a colorful fête, Bollywood style, to celebrate and pay respects to the bride's Indian roots. On the fated day, both the bride and groom dressed to impress with Kat looking lovely in an Inbal Dror gown, and Christian, dashing as always, in Francis Libiran.
3. Coleen Garcia and Billy Crawford
There definitely was no shortage of beach weddings this 2018 as Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia had their own sunset beach nuptials at the Balesin Beach Club. Pre-nup fiasco aside, the couple opted to skip the controversial fabrics for a more fitting elegant wardrobe. Coleen wore a custom Andrea Tetangco jumpsuit for their welcome dinner before changing into a Galia Lahav V-neck column gown. Billy, on the other hand, looked dapper in a dark brown suit by Edwin Tan.
4. Kim Yap and Jarvis Sy
How could we forget celebrity stylist Kim Yap and Jarvis Sy's epically grandiose nuptials? Of course, the momumental occasion was styled by Gideon Hermosa, who gave the couple a lavish day to remember as he decorated Santuario de San José Parish and the Grand Ballroom of Manila Marriott Hotel with baronial floral chandeliers, a lush dining hall set-up, and a giant center-stage to house their first dance as newly-weds. The couple was even greeted with an aisle of fountain fireworks as they arrived at their reception. Heck, they even had a star-studded guest list from notable celebs like Kathryn Bernardo, Kris Aquino, Erich Gonzales, Robi Domingo, and the ever adorable Scarlet Snow Belo as one of their flower girls.
5. Iza Calzado and Ben Wintle
We're still reeling from Iza Clazado and Ben Wintle's dreamy beach wedding at Club Paradise in Coron, Palawan. The boho-chic wedding took place just last Demember 19 with Iza and Ben saying 'I do' before a number of their closest family and friends, where her entire entourage adorably wore matching denim jackets as a gift from the actress. Plus, we're always up for a sang'gre reunion as all three of the bride's Encantandia sisters showed up for the big day.
6. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
What's a 2018 wedding list without the Royal Wedding? Viewed by an estimated 18 million people all over the world, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Palace. The gorgeous fairytale wedding was much talked about not only for its extravagant floral decor, star-studded guests, or fancy hats, but also for all the royal protocols the rebel couple broke in the process.
They started with small things, straying from traditional like holding hands during the ceremony, to more significant ones like inviting 2640 members of the public into the grounds of Windsor Castle to witness their arrival and departure, to sweeter gestures like Prince Harry wearing a wedding band alongside his wife, when most royal men, as per tradition, are not expected to.
7. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas
Miss World 2000, a Jonas brother, and two weddings? Nothing gets more memorable than this. Hailing from different cultures, the power couple celebrated their nuptials with both a Hindu and Christian ceremony at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Rajasthan, India. But what really caught our attention the most? Priyanka's breathtaking Ralph Lauren wedding gown for their Christian wedding, of course. Priyanka walked down the aisle in a sheer laced highneck number, embroidered and beaded by hand with 2,380,000 mother of pearl sequins. The whole frock took an incredible 1826 hours to make, which included her showstopping 75 ft long veil. All we can say is Nick's one lucky guy.
