Championing girl power, the 72nd Miss Universe Competition is once again set to feature an all-female hosting team!
Leading the distinguished panel are Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo, Jeannie Mai Jenkins, and Maria Menounos. Meanwhile, backstage correspondents for the event include Zuri Hall and the Philippines' very own Miss Universe 2018, Catriona Gray.
The Miss Universe organization took to its official social media platforms to announce the news this morning, November 8. "Welcome back to our all-female hosting team! We’re thrilled that the 72nd MISS UNIVERSE Competition will be hosted by @oliviaculpo @thejeanniemai, @mariamenounos! And returning as backstage correspondents, we have @zurihall and @catriona_gray!" the statement reads.
Paula Shugart, President of Miss Universe Organization, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "I’m so glad to be working with such a talented, funny, and knowledgeable group of women presenters. Our hosts this year exemplify the best of the Miss Universe family, and this is going to be a fantastic show."
The 72nd Miss Universe Competition is scheduled to be held in El Salvador on November 18, 2023. Viewers in the United States can tune in on @therokuchannel, while international viewers can refer to local listings.
Filipino pageant enthusiasts can show their support for Philippine representative Michelle Dee and tune in through ABS-CBN platforms including A2Z Channel 11, Kapamilya Channel, Metro Channel, and iWantTFC. These platforms will livestream the pageant finals for free on at 9 a.m. on November 19.
