Being the children of Carmina Villarroel and Zoren Legaspi, twins Cassy and Mavy Legaspi were practically born into the spotlight. They've had countless TV commercials and endorsements since their teen years, so it's safe to say that they're no strangers to glitz and glam. But now that they're pursuing their own show biz career, the duo has inevitably had to upgrade their sense of style. Luckily, they have easy access to their stylish parents' closets for their fashion emergencies!
During a Sandwich Session with Summit Media, Cassy and Mavy revealed the designer items they always grab from Carmina and Zoren's respective collections. Read their answers below!
In a previous interview with PEP, Cassy admitted that she "feels bad" whenever she buys luxury items. She would usually opt to borrow things from her mom instead. In fact, she revealed it's Carmina herself who insists she borrows her stuff!
"My mom tells me, 'Please, use this bag, please ito na deserve mo 'to. 'Di ba you don't wanna buy? O here, borrow mine.' So ako naman, okay...I guess I'll borrow your bags," the 20-year-old actress tells Preview.
But what started off as hesitant borrowing soon turned into a habit for Cassy. She continues, "Recently, I started borrowing her shoes; Her Louis Vuitton sneakers, Balenciaga sneakers, because I'm a sneakerhead."
Cassy isn't the only one who raids Carmina's closet for cool items. Mavy picks out designer items from their mom's collection, too! According to him, he and Carmina are a great match since they both gravitate towards classic styles, whereas Cassy favors streetwear. "Perfect combo kami ni mama," he comments.
Citing an example, Mavy says he could easily pick out one of Carmina's Dior items and incorporate it into an outfit. He explains, "Fashion has no standard, you can get stuff from the women's section you can get stuff from the men's section—doesn't matter."
When asked about what he cops from his dad Zoren, Mavy had a very specific answer: Designer duffle bags.
"Mahilig siya sa mga duffle bag kaya [dala] ko 'yon sa mga taping," admits the actor, saying that it's one of the small things he does to dress up for work. He quips, "Gusto ko maging porma eh so gusto ko lahat ng gamit porma."
Mavy then shared an instance when his dad started looking for the "borrowed" bags. "One day he just realized nasa kotse na pala 'yung mga duffle bag niyang branded. 'O, nasaan yung mga bag ko?' 'Dinala po ni Mavy," he recalls, sharing a laugh with Cassy.
