Bulgari has unveiled its biggest exhibition in Japan to date with “Bvlgari Kaleidos: Colors, Cultures and Crafts,” now open at The National Art Center, Tokyo. Bringing together nearly 350 pieces of high jewelry and contemporary art, the showcase highlights the house’s mastery of color and celebrates the cultural dialogue between Italy and Japan. It is also the House’s first exhibition in Japan in a decade.

The opening night set the tone for the grandeur of the exhibition. Guests were welcomed with an exclusive preview before the public opening on September 17, followed by a gala dinner in the museum’s soaring Atrium, curated by Il Ristorante Niko Romito of the Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo. The evening’s atmosphere was heightened with music from composer-pianist Roberto Cacciapaglia and a performance by vocalist Kanna Ogawa.

The exhibition itself unfolds in three chapters: The Science of Color, Color Symbolism, and The Power of Light.

Visitors can expect to see iconic creations such as the legendary Seven Wonders emerald necklace, bold sautoirs from the 1960s, and early designs by founder Sotirio Bulgari. The journey extends into contemporary perspectives as well, with commissioned works by artists Lara Favaretto, Mariko Mori, and Akiko Nakayama.
