What made you want to try this trend?
I suppose I decided to try this trend by default. I was drawn to the color and print of these tangerine shorts and felt that I couldn't part with it.
How do you build your outfit around it?
The weather has been erratic the past few weeks, and because it was bright out, I wanted to wear light pieces, but I threw on a blazer in case the weather turned wet and cool.
How do you make the look your own?
I've always been drawn to color and going all-out colorful is quite me.
How do you balance your outfit to avoid making it look over-the-top?
Since there are a lot of various colors and prints in this look, I kept everything else pretty neutral, with the nude shoes, white shirt and minimal accessories.
Can you give tips on how to wear this trend?
Tangerine ranges from a reddish orange to a brighter orange hue, but I would definitely experiment mixing it with various other colors. An army or olive green would look great with a “reddish-orange” tangerine, while a bright tangerine can work well with jewel-toned hues.
How would you wear it during the day, night, to a party, to work?
I would love to have a tight-knit tangerine sweater and wear it with a peplum white skirt. I'm still looking for these pieces but I think it would look great for work; then just add chunky jewelry, high heels and a great clutch for a party. For day, I'd gladly go for a loose tangerine sweater or shirt combined with a utilitarian, military jacket, a short black skirt and ankle boots.
