Blog: Messy Hair and Everything Else
What made you try this trend?
On a daily basis, I'm more of a black-and-white person than a color block person, so I guess it's a matter of trying something new this summer!
How do you build your outfit around it?
I started with my Pill romper, which I used as a top, and just grabbed a pair of green shorts, a basic white sleeveless button down, wedges and a fringe bag for some pop of quirkiness.
How do you style it to make the look your own?
Trick of the trade: hot pink lips and a Yako Reyes fringed clutch, which I haven't used for ages!
How do you balance your look to avoid making it look over-the-top?
I avoided layering too much and just paired it with some comfy wedges.
How do you accessorize the color-blocking trend?
A pair of solid colored bag and/or shoes.
Can you give tips on how to wear this trend?
Don't over accessorize! Stick with solid colored accessories, plus it's the right time to go crazy with your nail polish!
How would you wear it during the day, night, to the beach, to a party, to work, etc.?
For the day, I'd just change my wedges into a pair of neon sneakers. For a night look, I'd wear it with a hot pink structured blazer and a pair of really high white pumps!
Esme wearing a pink romper from Pill, shorts from SM Department Store, Basic Editions button down with a Yako Reyes fringed bag, vintage Ray-Ban Wayfarers and wedges from Oro Nero.
