It’s official! After the fans’ expert sleuthing online, Penshoppe has finally confirmed that Lisa Manoban of South Korean girl group BLACKPINK is indeed the newest face of the local brand. They made the big reveal via an Instagram video featuring Lisa herself:
“Mabuhay Philippines! It’s me Lisa,” says the Thai-born rapper wearing a rust-colored, off-the-shoulder ribbed sweater and a black velvet choker. “I’m so excited to announce that I’m the newest face of Penshoppe. I had so much fun shooting this campaign. I hope you guys love it too!”
The aforementioned campaign will feature Lisa swathed in Penshoppe's Holiday 2019 collection, which includes the check dress, halter top, and graphic tee she's seen wearing in the BTS video.
“We are excited to have Lisa in our growing Penshoppe family,” says Golden ABC’s VP for brand management, Jeff Bascon. “She is effortlessly talented and her natural rhythm brings out the confidence in whatever she wears.”
Lisa is officially the third Hallyu celebrity to endorse Penshoppe, following K-pop idol Dara Park and K-drama actor Nam Joo Hyuk who both visited Manila for a fanmeet last year. She is the latest addition to the brand's growing list of international ambassadors, which also includes Kendall Jenner, Zayn Malik, and Kaia Gerber.
Lisa, the 22-year-old rapper and main dancer of the group BLACKPINK, is also the most followed female K-pop artist on Instagram with over 26 million followers.
