K-pop stars are undeniably bankable endorsers when it comes to fashion. These world famous acts are not afraid to experiment with emerging fashion trends and are oftentimes trendsetters in their own right. That said, it’s no surprise that Celine’s Creative Director Hedi Slimane has chosen Thai singer Lisa Manoban of K-pop girl group BLACKPINK to be the first-ever global ambassador for the brand.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Singapore, the 23-year-old rapper expressed her enthusiasm for being handpicked by Hedi himself. “It means so much to me to become Celine’s first ambassador. I’m so excited and honored to receive this partnership, and to work with Hedi Slimane. Celine has always inspired me, and I hope to be able to take that feeling and, in turn, inspire others,” Lisa shares.
Lisa's first-ever campaign for Celine features her in signature Hedi Slimane outfits, one of which comprises of a statement jacket paired with a white shirt and dark denim jeans. The photos were shot by Hedi himself and definitely exude his sultry rock chick image for Celine.
